Legal & Compliance

Terms of
Service

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before registering for or attending the Privasea Summit 2026 ("Event"), hosted by Privasea Summit Organising Committee ("Privasea", "we", "us", or "our"). By completing your registration, purchasing a ticket, or attending the Event, you agree to be bound by these Terms in full. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not register for or attend the Event.

Section 01

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing our website at privasea.land, completing an Event registration form, purchasing a ticket, or attending the Privasea Summit Goa 2026 in any capacity, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be legally bound by these Terms and any additional guidelines, policies, or rules that may be published from time to time in connection with the Event.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Privasea. If you are registering on behalf of an organisation, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind that organisation to these Terms, and references to "you" shall include that organisation.

Privasea reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Any changes will be communicated via email and updated on this page with a revised effective date. Continued participation in the Event constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Section 02

Eligibility

The Privasea Summit is intended for professionals in the fields of privacy, data protection, AI governance, cybersecurity, legal compliance, and related disciplines. By registering, you confirm that:

  • You are at least 18 years of age at the time of the Event.

  • The information provided during registration is accurate, current, and complete.

Privasea reserves the right to verify eligibility and to refuse or revoke registration at its sole discretion, including in cases of misrepresentation or breach of these Terms.

Section 03

Registration & Tickets

All attendees must complete a valid registration to gain access to the Privasea Summit 2026. Tickets are issued on a first-come, first-served basis and are subject to availability.

  • Each ticket is valid for one named individual only and is non-transferable without prior written approval from Privasea.
  • Transfer requests must be submitted at least 14 days before the Event start date. Approved transfers may be subject to an administration fee.
  • Badges and access credentials must be worn or presented at all times on Event premises.
  • Lost or stolen badges must be reported immediately to the registration desk; a replacement fee may apply.
  • Group registrations of five or more delegates may be eligible for special rates — contact us directly for details.
  • Privasea reserves the right to limit the number of registrations from any single organisation.

Your ticket grants access only to the specific sessions and areas outlined in your chosen ticket tier. Access to exclusive sessions, workshops, or invitation-only events may require separate approval or registration.

Section 04

All ticket prices are listed in Indian Rupees (INR) unless otherwise stated. Prices are inclusive of applicable GST. Privasea accepts payment via credit card, debit card, net banking, and authorised payment gateways as displayed at checkout.

  1. Payment must be completed in full at the time of registration. Your registration is not confirmed until payment has been successfully processed.
  2. Early-bird pricing is available for a limited period and is subject to change or withdrawal at Privasea's discretion without prior notice.
  3. If a transaction fails, you are responsible for reattempting payment or contacting our support team. Privasea is not liable for seats lost due to failed transactions.
  4. Invoices and tax receipts will be issued electronically to the email address provided at registration.
  5. Any payment disputes must be raised within 30 days of the transaction date by contacting [email protected].

Privasea reserves the right to adjust pricing for future ticket tiers at any time. Once a purchase is confirmed, your ticket price will not be affected by subsequent pricing changes.

Section 05

The Privasea Summit will be photographed, filmed, and potentially live-streamed for promotional, archival, and editorial purposes. By attending the Event, you grant Privasea a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use your image, likeness, and voice captured at the Event in any media format, including but not limited to print, digital, social media, and broadcast.

Section 10

Liability & Disclaimers

You attend the Privasea Summit at your own risk. Privasea, its directors, employees, contractors, volunteers, sponsors, and partners shall not be liable for any loss, damage, injury, or expense arising from or connected with your attendance at the Event, including but not limited to:

  • Personal injury or illness sustained on Event premises.
  • Loss, theft, or damage to personal property.
  • Travel disruptions, accommodation issues, or costs arising from Event postponement or cancellation.
  • Reliance on any information, advice, or opinion expressed by speakers or other attendees.
  • Technical failures affecting website, registration, or virtual access platforms.

The views and opinions expressed by speakers and panellists at the Event are those of the individuals concerned and do not necessarily represent the views of Privasea or its organisers. Privasea makes no representations regarding the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of such content.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Privasea's aggregate liability to any attendee shall not exceed the ticket price paid by that attendee for the Event.

Section 11

Changes to the Event

Privasea reserves the right to make changes to the Event programme, speakers, venue, dates, format, or any other aspect of the Event at any time, without prior notice. Such changes do not entitle attendees to a refund unless the Event is cancelled entirely.

In the unlikely event that the Privasea Summit 2026 is cancelled due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control — including but not limited to natural disasters, government directives, public health emergencies, or acts of force majeure — Privasea will endeavour to:

  • Provide reasonable notice of cancellation via email and the Event website.
  • Offer affected ticket holders a credit toward a future edition of the Privasea Summit, or a partial refund at Privasea's discretion.
  • Not be liable for any indirect losses, including travel and accommodation costs, incurred by attendees.

If the Event is converted to a hybrid or fully virtual format, Privasea will endeavour to maintain the quality and integrity of the programme. No refund will be issued solely on the basis of a format change.

Section 12

Website Use

Access to the Privasea Summit website at privasea.land is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. By using this website, you agree that:

  • You will not use the website for any unlawful purpose or in a manner that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair our servers or networks.

Privasea makes no warranty that the website will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from viruses or other harmful components. We reserve the right to withdraw, modify, or discontinue any part of the website at any time without notice.

Section 13

Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms, including any question regarding its existence, validity, or termination, shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Goa, India.

In the event of a dispute, the parties agree to first attempt resolution through good-faith negotiation. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally within 30 days, either party may refer the matter to arbitration in accordance with the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 (as amended). The seat of arbitration shall be Panaji, Goa, and proceedings shall be conducted in English.

Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer under applicable Indian law, including rights available under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
